Terms & Conditions
CB Industries, LLC โ Squirrel ADHD Toolkit Effective date: June 8, 2026 Website: squirrel.cb-industries.co Contact: squirrel@cb-industries.co
By purchasing or using any Squirrel app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't buy or use the apps โ and email us if something seems off (squirrel@cb-industries.co).
1. Who we are
CB Industries, LLC ("CB Industries", "we", "us") is the developer and seller of the Squirrel ADHD Toolkit, a suite of Mac apps. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as our merchant of record.
2. The license
When you buy a Squirrel app or bundle, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on your own Mac computers.
You may:
- Install and use the app on any Mac you personally own or control.
- Keep using it forever โ this is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the app with others.
- Reverse-engineer or modify the app beyond what macOS allows for personal use.
- Use the app in a way that violates any applicable law.
One license = one person. If your team or household wants Squirrel apps, each person needs their own license. (If you need something else, email us โ we're reasonable.)
3. Download access
After purchase, you'll receive a download link for the app(s) you bought. The apps have no activation, DRM, or online verification โ once downloaded, they run entirely offline, forever.
If you lose your download link, email squirrel@cb-industries.co with the address you used to purchase and we'll resend it.
4. Payment and pricing
All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record. By completing a purchase you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms.
Prices are in USD and include any applicable VAT or sales tax, which Lemon Squeezy calculates and remits on our behalf.
5. Refund policy
30-day no-questions refund. If you're not happy with your purchase, email squirrel@cb-industries.co within 30 days of purchase. Tell us the email address you bought with. We'll process the refund promptly.
Because the apps run entirely offline with no account, we can't see how you use them โ so we don't ask. Just email us.
Refunds after 30 days are at our discretion.
6. Updates and fixes
The Squirrel apps are sold as-is at the time of purchase. We fix bugs and ship improvements, but there is no guaranteed update schedule.
How updates are delivered: Because the apps are sold directly (not through the Mac App Store), updates are distributed as new download links. We'll post update notices on squirrel.cb-industries.co. If something breaks and there's a fix available, email us and we'll send you a new download link.
You are not entitled to major version upgrades (if we ever produce them) under a prior purchase, but we'll try to be fair.
7. macOS permissions
Four apps โ Waypoint, FocusJail, Surfacing, and BoringRedirect โ request macOS Accessibility and/or Automation permissions to function. macOS will prompt you the first time. These permissions:
- Are required for those apps to work as intended.
- Can be revoked at any time in System Settings โ Privacy & Security.
- Are never used to read, transmit, or store your personal information. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
Revoking a permission will disable the specific feature that depends on it. The apps handle this gracefully.
8. What the apps don't do
The Squirrel apps do not and will never:
- Connect to the internet on your behalf (except BoringRedirect's optional "Real articles" mode, which opens a URL in your browser โ the app makes no network request itself).
- Send your data to CB Industries or any third party.
- Include analytics, tracking, or crash reporting.
- Require an account.
- Use any DRM, license verification, or activation of any kind. Once downloaded, the apps run offline with no check-in required.
We run a code-level audit (audit.py) on every build that mechanically verifies these properties.
9. No warranty & health disclaimer
Not medical advice or a medical device. The Squirrel apps are general wellness and productivity tools. They are not medical devices and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or pharmacological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent ADHD or any other condition. "Did I Take It?" is a simple memory aid, not a medication-management or clinical tool โ always rely on your doctor or pharmacist regarding your medications. Any reference to research or to a "clinically-evidenced" technique describes that general technique, not a claim about the effect of our apps. If you are in crisis or need care, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
The apps are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. CB Industries makes no warranty that the apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Use them at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CB Industries will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the apps, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your purchase or use of the apps is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.
11. Intellectual property
All Squirrel apps, including their code, design, branding, and content, are the property of CB Industries, LLC. These terms grant you a license to use the software โ not ownership of it.
12. Termination
Your license terminates immediately if you breach these terms (e.g., by redistributing or reselling the app). You may also terminate your license at any time by stopping use of the app and deleting it.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless it falls within the 30-day refund window.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the apps after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
